Alcohol-Based Fluids

General Description:

These are multi-purpose, alcohol-based inks with a rapid drying time. These inks print well on metals but are ideally suited for printing on non-treated polyethylene products and polypropylene substrates.

Applications:

Perfectly suited for printing on plastic containers and on coated paper stock products. Prints quite nicely on most metals.

Examples:

Machined metal parts, plastic containers, plastic wrappers

Drying Time: Rapid

Drying time for these inks is very fast, usually less than three seconds on dry substrates in an environment of 68-78 º F and less than 66% relative humidity. Drying time may vary slightly depending on printing application, environmental factors , and absorption rate into the substrate.

Shelf Life:

Alcohol-based fluids have a two year shelf life from the date of manufacture.

AmeriCode Alcohol-Based Inks:

Type 3 Ink: Available Colors - Black, Purple, Red, Blue, Green, Ultra Violet

Type 3 Make-up: Available Colors - Clear or Tinted

Type 6 Ink: Available Colors - Black to Red

Type 6 Make-up: Available Colors - Clear or Tinted

Poly-Based Fluids

General Description:

These are multi-purpose, poly-based inks with a rapid drying time. Although good for printing on most non-porous industrial products, these inks are ideally suited for printing on porous products.

Applications:

Good for printing on metal and plastic containers. Ideally suited for printing on coated and uncoated paper stock.

Examples:

Bank notes, lottery tickets, coupons, direct mail post cards

Rapid Drying time for these inks is fast, usually three seconds. Drying time may vary slightly depending on printing application, environmental factors such as heat and humidity, and absorption rate into the substrate.

Type 5 Ink: Available Colors - Black, Red

Type 5 Make-up: Available Colors - Clear or Tinted

Ketone-Based Fluids

General Description:

These are multi-purpose, MEK-based (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) inks with a very rapid drying time. Ideally suited for printing on most non-porous industrial products, these inks are a perfect combination of versatility and durability.

Applications:

Perfect for printing on metal and glass containers. Also prints well on plastic containers and coated paper stock material.

Examples:

Soda cans, aerosol cans, drink bottles

Water-Based Fluids

General Description:

These are multi-purpose, water-based inks with a very rapid drying time. These inks are perfectly suited for printing on fibrous products.

Applications:

Great for printing on uncoated paper stock, some coated paper stock, cardboard, fiberboard, and other fibrous products. Examples: Postal mailing labels, forms, documents, lottery tickets, bingo tickets Drying Time: Very Rapid Drying time for these inks is very fast, usually two seconds. Drying time may vary slightly depending on printing application, environmental factors such as heat and humidity, and absorption rate into the substrate.
